First paper of the year is being published

We are happy to announce that the first paper of the year for the Institute for Neuroanatomy has been published in Genes, Brain and Behavior, in which Aybeniz is a shared first author. Congratulations Aybeniz! Started in luckier times of animal research, this collaboration with the group of Robyn Grant from the University Manchester was aimed at characterizing reeler whisking behavior. By analyzing amazing 3D movie sequences from spontaneous and object-directed whisking, we -as so often in our reeler projects- could detect only a subtle phenotype – despite a severe disorganization of large parts of the brain.
